Taken at the river Main, Hainburg - Germany
This photo was taken in September & the swans were starting to get their final feather coat in white. By Christmas they were completely white and ready for the cold winter which actually never came ...not yet! Now it is quite difficult to tell them apart from their parents.
Thanks for your valuable tips and/or constructive input!!

We got lucky this year and the 2 swans that we have floating in our main park had kids, for some reason though I managed to shank all the pictures, I find swans far harder to photograph than my ducks for some reason. Glad these worked out for you.

Our swans down under are black - I guess the white ones look more cheerful ( I think it was Matt who said my black swan looked 'dour'). These look almost edible.

@Sidonie: Sidonie, we also have black swans but they are rare and mostly in zoos or animal parks.
Beautiful composition of a seemingly tender interaction. Well done.

Hey welcome back mate!!! Didn't see many posts there for a while. You've come back strong, I especially enjoyed yesterdays post of the two heads. Great composition. Today's post is great as well the lines of the taller duck point straight to the duck below it.
