adalove from Alcala de Guadaira, Spain

interesting fruits of that tree... what are they??

1 Jun 2007 1:12pm

@adalove: This is a chestnut tree. First the "balls" are tiny and green, in time they darken to brown. When ripe the "balls" fall down and burst: chestnuts are inside.
Thanks for stopping by ;)

Igor L.Petroff from Odessa, Ukraine

Nice shot.
We have many trees like this in our town but it's imposible to make a shot - too high. :)
And children call the seeds "hedge-hogs".

2 Jun 2007 9:46pm

@Igor L.Petroff: Igor, your are perfectly right... there was a small bridge nearby enabling me to take this shot. I am not that tall!
Thanks for visiting ;)

juant3 from Bremen, Germany

3 Jun 2007 6:28pm

@juant3: Danke für dein Besuch!
