HOT TIP FOR ALL AM3 CONTRIBUTORS (from Ian Bramham here in Aminus3): Please feel free to copy and paste this advice into your own AM3 blogs as I'm sure there are lots of our fellow AM3ers out there having this same frustrating problem...it would be great to sort the problem out for as many of us as possible. Thanks for your visit ;) merdax from tehran, Iranthnx for your nice comment ! 9 Jan 2008 1:31pm Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesNice seagull series! I like this one because the pose is perfect. 9 Jan 2008 3:03pm Dang from Marietta, United StatesIt's been a nice series, and the advice is correct for most sites. It's also good to note when saving a copy to "save as", and not "save for the web" to maintain exif. In addition, be sure it's converted to sRGB 8 bit (which is web standard), and not Abode RGB or16 bit since this will also cause re-processing resulting in duller colors. Last step before posting should be to sharpen. I wasn't aware the height wasn't important for Am3, since it is for other sites. But, I really hate scrolling to view an entire shot. I've always felt if I can't view it in one gulp, the impacts lost. Just personal preference I guess. Thanks! 9 Jan 2008 3:32pm Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaLooks like a pose! Great shot, like the colors too! 9 Jan 2008 3:50pm Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaThat gull is just showing off. Nice shot. 9 Jan 2008 4:05pm Sandra Rocha from Alfândega da Fé, PortugalEstá um encanto, 100*************************************************************. 9 Jan 2008 4:12pm yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecevery nice image again - excellent seagull series 9 Jan 2008 4:29pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesThis is a beauty. Thanks for the tip. Fortunately I was already sizing my images that way for both of my blogs so I never noticed that issue. I like to keep the longest side at 800. I too like to see the whole photo on the screen. I think something is lost too when I have to scroll down to take in the whole image. 9 Jan 2008 5:37pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomOhhhhh, I can feel the fun here indeed!! :O) Once again, I really love the detail on the wings, and the seagull’s amazing posture here along with these beautiful ripples makes this an utterly gorgeous capture and composition. Truly Wow. 10 Jan 2008 12:31am Camiller from Lisboa, PortugalThe waves of the water could be called " The seagull effect ". Very good series. :) 10 Jan 2008 12:38am MGB from Lisboa, PortugalA landscape (view of a lake), a bit of action, a touch of love. Almost as in the famous play of Anton Tchékhov. :)) 10 Jan 2008 12:57am @MGB: Thank you so much! |
