Maria's bridge view from the castle - Summer 2007
Well, people I am so sorry to disappoint you all... but I wasn't brave enough to go over that bridge. To be honest to go through was not my immediate worry but to get stuck in the middle. Look at all these people just standing there and crowding the bridge. No photograph is worth my life... sorry again! This is all I could manage :)

Thank you all for your support and comments on this take. Still will be glad to see any photos "from the other side" if anyone ever gets over that bridge one day :)
Thanks for your valuable tips and/or constructive input!!

I'm getting vertigo just looking at that!!

Definitely a nice, vast capture. The waterfall adds a nice touch and the "grandness" isn't realized until you see how small the people are. Great shot!

I think this itself makes quite a statement. This mountain is so large compared to those people!! They're crazy for going over that!! :P I love the lighting at the top and the soft water.. this would make a nice painting.
Germany is a beautiful country with much to photograph and enjoy!

Hi & thank you! I can write in quite many different languages although I must admit that my written German is not the best (I did not really studied German). I prefer to write in English so that as many people as possible understand what is going on here, otherwise it can become quite frustrating to some :)
Enjoy your sunny weekend! Manu
What an amazing shot Manuela! I am breathless. You kept the best for the end!

a wonderful capture came out of you not going up that bridge. You might not be able to take any pictures anyway, judging from the human traffic and crowd:)

Great shot, scary bridge

That does look a trifle high. I think you should go onto the bridge and shoot away. For me? Please?
:-)

@Michael Rawluk: .... sorry to disappoint you Michael but it is now too far away from where I live (ah! ah! ah!). But if you ever make it over there, you can go over the bridge for me ... definitely want to see a photo of the castle as a proof :) Thanks for your visit!
Oh I agree with you there Manuela, there is no way you would get me up there! I think you got the best view where you were, it's fabulous.
18 May 2008 6:54pm
what a view! where were you when you took this awesome shot?
18 May 2008 9:55pm
@Photographs by M.E.: Past the main red entrance there is an immense courtyard, the picture was taken from there! Thanks for stopping by :)
I´ve Abseiled down of a bridge similar to this one in the same region of Germany back when I was a soldier, maybe it was this one !!??

Ohhhh....you took the words right out of my mouth! I even didn´t manage it at all to walk over this bridge when I have been there some years ago...
19 May 2008 3:38pm
Je n'aurai jamais pu marcher sur cette passerelle... Mais ce doit être une sacrée expérience....
19 May 2008 3:55pm
Awesome place! I would have been the first on on that bridge! :)

OK, I am quite nervous of heights but if I can go over the Capilano Bridge in Vancouver (which is a suspended bridge) I could go over that one. BUT I do totally understand why you didn't. Really cool shot, Manuela!!
