No, I couldn't detect any scent on this flower but it was a wonderful bloom which I have never seen before myself. Too bad I didn't ask the name... take care - Manu :)

I love the perspective in which you captured this. It looks like the purple stars are flying out at us with their "stalks" below appearing like contrails.
